Senior Eye Exams
Eye Doctor/Optometrist in Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON
If you are over the age of 65, the Canadian Association of Optometrists further amplifies the importance of annual comprehensive eye exams. This is because, as we get older there is an increased risk of developing age-related eye conditions that can negatively affect visual health and functioning. In addition to the assessment of general eye health and vision quality, all senior eye exams include screening for age-related eye diseases like macular degeneration, cataracts and glaucoma.
Senior comprehensive eye examinations are covered by OHIP either 12 or 18 months depending on the presence of certain eye diseases or medical conditions.
