Eye Doctor/Optometrist in Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON
Comprehensive eye exams are an important aspect in maintaining both the health and function of your ocular system, regardless of your age or physical health. A comprehensive eye exam can be utilized to not only determine or adjust eyeglass or contact lens prescriptions, but also to assess the health of your eyes allowing for the detection of eye diseases, disorders, and related systemic health issues.
Using a variety of tests and procedures, comprehensive eye exams act to assess your eye coordination, depth perception, colour vision, eye pressure and monitor your overall eye health. These range from simple exam tests, such as reading an eye chart, to the use of more complex diagnostic technology, such as digital retinal imaging.
The Canadian Association of Optometrist recommends eye exams be completed routinely, generally every 1-2 years. In addition to allowing for the early detection of emerging eye conditions or problems, routine comprehensive eye exams allow you to best prevent eye-related issues and stay on top of any changes in quality of vision you may experience.
