We would like to acknowledge that we are settlers on this land. For thousands of years, this land has been the traditional home to the Wendat, Anishinabek Nation, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Mississaugas of Scugog, Hiawatha and Alderville First Nations and the Métis Nation. We wish to recognize the long history of First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples in Canada and the injustices that have occurred to them. This is one small step towards reconciliation.
